Required Qualifications And Eligibility
Each of the positions comes with specific qualifications. For instance:
- Emergency Medicine: MD/DNB/PG Diploma in Emergency Medicine is preferred. However, those with MD in General Medicine, General Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, Orthopedics, or Anesthesia can also apply.
- Transfusion Medicine: Only candidates with eligible academic qualifications and teaching experience will be considered.
For all posts, candidates must hold a degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC), and experience in medical teaching is a significant advantage. Moreover, preference will be given to candidates who are recognized as “PG Guides” as per NMC guidelines.
Age Limit
- Not exceeding 67 years as on date of reporting for interview
Age Relaxation: As per government rules
Salary
- Professor: Rs. 2,49,561/-
- Associate Professor: Rs. 1,65,953/-
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,42,576/-
For retired Army Medical Teachers, the remuneration is different:
- Assistant Professor (Consultant): Rs. 1.2 Lakhs (if post-PG experience is under 3 years) or Rs. 1.42 Lakhs (if post-PG experience is 3 years or more).
- Associate Professor (Consultant): Rs. 1.42 Lakhs (under 6 years of post-PG experience) or Rs. 1.88 Lakhs (6 years or more of post-PG teaching experience).
- Professor (Consultant): Rs. 1.88 Lakhs (under 9 years of post-PG teaching experience), Rs. 2.0 Lakhs (9 to 13 years), or Rs. 2.2 Lakhs (13 years or more).
Selection Process
The selection process will be based on an interview conducted by the selection board. Candidates will be evaluated on their academic qualifications, teaching experience, and their performance in the interview.
