Available Positions and Eligibility
1. Operator (Pipe Bending)
- Education Qualification: SSLC, ITI (NTC), National Apprenticeship Certificate (Pipe/Plumber)
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in operating a pipe bending machine, preferably in shipbuilding, engineering, or government establishments.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with CNC or semi-automatic pipe bending machines.
2. Welder Cum Fitter [Welder/Gas & Electric Welder]
- Education Qualification: SSLC, ITI (NTC), National Apprenticeship Certificate in Welder/Welder (Gas & Electric)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in welding (gas and electric), gas cutting, chipping, and grinding, especially in shipbuilding or engineering companies.
- Desirable Skills: Communication skills in Hindi/Bengali.
3. Operator (Crane)
- Education Qualification: SSLC, ITI (NTC), National Apprenticeship Certificate in Fitter/Machinist/Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in operating EOT cranes/Gantry cranes in shipbuilding, logistics, or engineering companies.
- Desirable Skills: Experience in radio remote operation.
4. Operator (Plate Preservation)
- Education Qualification: SSLC, ITI (NTC), National Apprenticeship Certificate in any trade.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the operation/maintenance of plate shot blasting machines in shipbuilding or engineering companies.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with automatic shot blasting machines.
5. Welder Cum Fitter (Fitter)
- Education Qualification: SSLC, ITI (NTC), National Apprenticeship Certificate in Sheet Metal Worker or Fitter.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in fabrication, welding, and fitting in shipbuilding or engineering sectors.
- Desirable Skills: Experience in crane operation.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for the positions is 40 years as on February 1, 2025. However, age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to specific categories:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation
- SC Candidates: 5 years relaxation
- Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation as per Government of India guidelines, which involves subtracting military service time from actual age and adding three years, with a maximum age of 45 years.
Salary
- The selected candidates for all the above positions will receive a pay scale of ₹21,300 – ₹69,840
